We're looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer to help enhance our Hotel Offer module quality of deliverables. This module is a key core component of the Amadeus Hotel Central Reservation System. It covers all aspects of Offer management from setup (prices, taxes, sales conditions...) to Shopping.

In this role you will

• Through cross-team guidance, act as a functional and technical lead responsible for defining and spreading best practices around QA methodology among the organization.




• Conducts technical discussions with internal development partners to understand their designs and intended output.




• Takes a leading role in the technical implementation of the test strategy. have a strong IT & business understanding.

Common Accountabilities:

• Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performs at a high level. Is recognized as a leader in own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.


• Understands how main business drivers may impact on own area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.


• Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects. May contribute to planning of resources and budget.

Specific Accountabilities:

• Technical Excellence in automation and manual testing


• Master QA methodology


• For complex/cross-functional solutions, analyze, write and execute test standards and procedures


• Document, analyze root cause, and recommend corrective actions for defects


• Master QA tools, environments and test automation solutions


• Functional Excellence


• Hold a proficient product domain knowledge incl. relevant business processes & scenarios and a proficient understanding of customer needs


• Lead customer triages/debug sessions and help the team with reproducing the problem in-house.

• Participate in internal / external forums and lead department-wise discussions around QA methodology / framework / tooling evolution


• Strive to maintain very high-quality standards for Amadeus products


• Contribute to patents and technical events in the QA area


• Propose relevant KPI and ways of measuring them efficiently, for both software deliverables and compliance with Amadeus Quality Standards


• Ensure adoption and improvement of testing tools & environments: promote existing ones to avoid duplication, evaluate them and recommend improvements


• Participate to the understanding, measurement and reduction of the environmental impact of the tested applications and associated QA activities

• Coach, mentor & train less experienced QA Engineers, Software Development Engineers and Product Definition Analysts on quality assurance skills and professionalization


• Actively participate in the construction, maintenance, and deployment of the on-boarding of new colleagues


• Provide consulting on test automation issues, testing tools, QA processes and functional test coverage


• Attend to Quality and Principal QA Engineer community events

About the ideal candidate

• Previous experience in a QA Expert/QA Lead position or extensive QA Engineer experience (ideally 10 years)




• Proficient in Python and API Testing.




• Proficient in automation tools like Selenium.




• Experience in defining Test strategies, Customer programs, CICD, Continuous improvement.




• Knowledge of Amadeus or other GDSs is a plus




• Experience in Hotel/ Hospitality domain is a plus.




• ISTQB certification is a plus
