Det-Tronics and Autronica are part of our Industrial Fire division and are seeking a Clean Energy Technical Applications Leader who has experience working with distributed systems solutions, with integrated field devices in the energy, heavy industry or high hazard industries. The goal is to assist the Clean Energy team along with the global sales team and channel partners to grow our capabilities and revenue in our identified Clean Energy market segments. We work directly with end users, integrators, engineering and OEM companies in the segments.


Det-Tronics and Autronica’s portfolio is focused on fire, flame and gas detection solutions. The key focus for this position is the Clean Energy sector, pursuing customers and projects in the Hydrogen, High Voltage Transmission, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Wind, and Energy Storage Industries. Overall, this effort is to help broaden Det-Tronics/ Autronica penetration in these growing segments.

The purpose of this role is to secure business growth and standardization on Det-Tronics / Autronica products portfolio via new applications for current products, as well as market expansion; to optimize our offering for Clean Energy markets and develop innovative new solutions. The position can be based in Stavanger (Norway), Antony (France) or Staines (UK).


Your responsibilities will be:

  • Preparation and development of Application Case Studies, White Papers, Webinar and presentation material for use in Webinars, Account Pursuit, FEED studies, project pursuit and general information.
  • Develop Business Case new product development in cooperation with sales team.
  • Webinar and Seminar presentation to end users, engineering companies, integrators, channel partners and other industry players (including travel where appropriate.)
  • Provide support for courses / internal application training of sales/bid team when needed.
  • Application Support for Clean Energy team and global sales team group on major Clean Energy bids, propose system solutions and quality assure system technical solutions including certificates and approvals.
  • Pre-qualification of technical req’ts for applications.
  • Applications presentations key / major pursuits.
  • Technical applications support to Clean Energy and global sales team.
  • Interface with OEM Customer for technical solution/ concept.
  • Solution presentation collaboration.
  • Assist in preparation of major proposals for the Clean Energy Segment.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or graduate from a Technical and/or Business school or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial.
  • Fluent in English.


Preferred Capabilities and Qualifications:

  • Extremely comfortable operating in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software.
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Solid experience of the Fire Safety, similar or related industry.
  • Technical electronic or mechanical engineering knowledge and understanding of integrated control systems and field instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated, superior analytical and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.

Travel

Expectation is for periodic travel to liaise with the Clean Energy team, global customers and regional teams, projects staff and for training etc.
