Missions of the job

You play a pivotal role in driving sales growth in the ruminant industry by identifying and seizing opportunities within the French territory. Your mission will be to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the ruminant industry, including top-tier feed companies and influential nutritionists.

 

Your expertise will allow you to connect with a diverse group of professionals, from ruminant product managers to feed mill operators, and from general managers to leading academic researchers. You will be responsible for promoting our cutting-edge amino acid balancing techniques, collaborating closely with customers and nutritionists to integrate Adisseo methionine products into ruminant diets effectively.

 

Moreover, your strategic approach will be crucial in introducing our specialty products to the market, employing solution selling techniques to meet the unique needs of each customer. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to meet and exceed sales targets, driving forward our vision for innovation and excellence in animal nutrition. Tasks

  • Master the Adisseo portfolio of product and services related to the ruminant industry
  • Identify the customers’ needs, potential, objectives and problems in order to define, propose and deliver the appropriate products and services
  • Define the priorities in terms of ruminant product development in the assigned territory, split by customer and prospect
  • Understand the decision-making process of the key accounts’ organization
  • Promote the nutritional features and benefits of the products, to decision makers within potential and existing customers
  • Develop strong commercial relations with customers through frequent visits, contacts and events (fairs, Adisseo’s local and global events, etc.)
  • Manage the marketing (advertising, events, testimonials etc.) of the ruminant product portfolio within the assigned territory in cooperation with the Marketing department
  • Collaborate with the Regional Category Managers regarding prices, volumes and forecasts of the ruminant products
  • Analyze the animal feed markets, growth perspectives, opportunities & threats, competition and report any information of interest
  • Contribute locally to business development with Global Key Accounts (GKA), by following the GKA Manager’s strategy / priorities assigned for the account
  • Monitor local technical trials, following Technical Advisers instructions
  • Ensure the success of new product launch in France. Plan actions and define local tactics in order to achieve the objectives
  • Maximize the use of the CRM system (ACE) for reporting of visits, projects, customer contacts and customer information

 

 

Required profile

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • You must have experience in selling technical products or processes
  • Thorough knowledge of the ruminant (dairy) nutrition business in France
  • Knowledge of amino acid balancing and at least one formulation software for ruminants (INRA, DVE, CNCPS, NRC, customer company software, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
  • A willingness to travel to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support business activities
  • Languages: ENGLISH and FRENCH at professional level (speaking and writing)
  • Competent IT skills
  • Having feed formulation experience is a plus
  • Able to work 80% of the time in the field
  • Have the ability to work autonomous but nevertheless being a loyal team player

EDUCATION

  • A bachelors degree in animal or dairy science, ruminant nutrition, or related subject with 5+ years of experience in the livestock feed industry
  • At least 5 years of experience in the animal feed industry
